SIGNS AND WONDERS

Text: Acts 2: 19, 20 - 

"I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’

John 4:48 – “Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
 

John 2:11 – Jesus first sign He turned the water into wine.
Dan. 4:2-3 – 2” I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me. 3 How great are His signs,
And how mighty His wonders!
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And His dominion is from generation to generation.”
 

Act 3:6-8 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.
 

John 11:47 - 47 Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council and said, “What shall we do? For this Man works many signs. Is Jesus here with us now? Can He works many signs among us?
 

1 Cor. 14:22 – “tongues are for signs”
John 20:30 - 30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.
V 29 - Thomas was unbelieving until Jesus showed His hands.

2) The Ba Kelalan Signs and Wonders in East Malaysia
The fire balls appeared at night and dancing fire above the congregation when they worshipped the Lord.

Revival Fire Spreads  -  The Bario Revival (3,500 above sea level in Bario town) Sarawak, Borneo, Malaysia came unexpectedly among a group of young students (ISCF), but it spread like fire, first among parents, then among the community, then from one localized community to another. Always it was accompanied by one common sign; the people’s sense of shamefulness and sinfulness before God. This led the people to a desperate seeking after God in repentance for forgiveness, crying for mercy, not just for their sins but also for their religious hypocrisy and bondage to church traditions.

In the revival, the Holy Spirit prompted many to declare aloud their spiritual emptiness and bankruptcy and their surrender and dependence upon God.
(What are the signs in Borneo? (water turn to wine; Bible flowing with oil.)

3) Signs during Moses time – Exo. 4:30, Exo 7:3
Exo. 7:3 – “And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.”
Psalm 135:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 He sent signs and wonders into the midst of you, O Egypt,
Upon Pharaoh and all his servants
Isaiah 8:18 – “Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel. From the Lord of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion”

4) What is the Holy Ghost saying to us as a church in this last days?
Remember, it is written; “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: SO IS EVERY ONE THAT IS BORN OF THE SPIRIT.” – Jn. 3:8
 

From the above scripture, we recognize that:
Every child of God is born a wonder to his world – Jn. 3:8.
Every child of God is born for signs and for wonders – Is. 8:18
The supernatural is the natural realm of everyone that is born again – Isa. 7:14-15/ Jn. 17:18   -  I AM FOR SIGNS AND WONDERS!

But miracles are no accidents; they are the deliberate acts of God in response to the desperate faith of men – Matt. 9:27-29
Gospel Coming with Signs and Wonders - Mark 16:20 - 19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

2 Cor. 12:12 -12 Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.4) Continuing 

5) Power in the Church  

Acts 5:12 -  And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 

6) Prayer: for Signs and Wonders

Wonderful Father, we thank You for Your presence in our lives. Thank You for the miracles, signs and wonders that You have manifested in the lives of Your children in the Body of Christ.  Lord, we thank You for salvation, the greatest miracle of all. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus to break the power of the devil and to bring us hope, health, and healing.  You are great and You do wondrous things.  You alone are God.  How great are Your signs and how mighty are Your wonders.  Lord, You are high above all the nations.  Your glory is above the heavens.  Who is like You, our God, who dwells on high?  We give thanks to You for Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near. 

Exalted Father, according to Your own will, Jesus ministered with signs and wonders, various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit.  Therefore, we expect miracles to manifest in the earth for those who are in need of them.  Lord, just as You brought Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and outstretched arm, so we believe that You will manifest Your glory in our lives today.  All of Your promises are “Yes” and “Amen” unto us so we expect miracles, signs and wonders to follow us as believers.

RESTORATION OF EVERYTHING THAT THE ENEMY TOOK

 EXODUS 12:33-36

33 The Egyptians were urgent with the people to send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.” 34 So the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneading bowls being bound up in their cloaks on their shoulders.

35 The people of Israel had also done as Moses told them, for they borrowed the Egyptians for silver and gold jewelry and for clothing. 36 And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. Thus they spoiled (plundered) the Egyptians.

1) Give Back Our Blessings

The Hebrew word for “borrowed vs.35 means “demanded”. The Israelites turn the tables on Pharaoh and told him, “If you  want us to leave so  bad, you are going to  have to  give us something. You are going to have to restore some thing to us. Give us back our children, give us back our flocks and herds, and clothes and don’t forget to  give us some gold and silver”

The Greater One is in You

So Pharaoh loaded them up, sent them on their way and asked them to  bless him before they left.

The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever. Kingdom of God’s people reigns today.  (Rev. 11:15)

2) The Enemy Must Return All

John 10:10 ESV

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Joel 2:25 ESV

I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you.

3) God Give His Spirit to All  -  Acts 3:19-21

19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

4) Sow Something - Ecclesiastes 11:1

Cast your bread upon all waters, for after many days you will find it again. Give portions to seven, yes to eight (increase it) for you do not know what may come upon the land”

God is saying “Give Me your all and You’ll recover All” This is the Year of  Recovery All. Do something for God and receive your miracle, your healing, restoration and abundance.

a) This is Your Day!

This is Your Day and you have the spirit of the Breakthrough. It is about to break every lack and every need in your life.  By faith you are going to reap the harvest in your jobs, business, family and bodies, time, ministry and everything.

Favor is Coming this way.  Like the Israelites the Lord gave them favor over the Egyptians and they blessed them.

b) Sowing Spiritual Food - 2 Corinthians 9:10

NIV: "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness." 

The resources God blesses you with today contain both bread and seed for you. So don’t consume all you have as bread. Have the wisdom to sow seeds that will provide you with both bread for the future and more seed to sow again.

The Bible tells us plainly that “he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”  

God’s Word encourages us to give purposefully, “not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” Now, look at the provision promise that God gives when you sow bountifully: “God is able to make ALL GRACE ABOUND toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”

 

 

GOD'S SUPERNATURAL RESTORATION

God will restore health, joy, peace, relationships - like Job was blessed twice he had by God. God is a 100 per cent restorer of all things that we need. 

The Valley of the Dry Bones  -  Ezekiel 37:1-14

⁹ Also He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”’” ¹⁰ So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.  (not one soldier – many soldiers) God restored dead bones or churches.

Mt. 21 – Two disciples to find a donkey and her colt tied there. The donkey was never used till the day she was born. Nobody wants to touch or play with a donkey. We are like that donkey. Donkey represents no bodies, nameless and faceless. But yet God is calling donkeys.  And are going to use as many donkeys as possible in these last days. 

Ezekiel 37 - Holy Spirit coming like the four winds with the 7 Spirits of God to breath and anoint the last day church.  God is pouring out measureless gifts and spirit.  Those donkeys that are looked down upon, nameless and faceless army of God.  Pour out His Spirit upon all men and maids and servants.

God is going to restore and pour out a supernatural anointing upon the church in the last days.

Acts 2:17- 21-  ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
¹⁸ And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
¹⁹ I will show wonders in heaven above     )   God’s restoration the signs and
And signs in the earth beneath:                  )           wonders back during Moses
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.            )           time.
²⁰ The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
²¹ And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’

Acts 3:19-21 - ¹⁹ Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, ²⁰ and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,^{[a] 21} whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

What God going to Restore?

·         Supernatural Anointing – Acts 5:14,15

¹⁴ And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, ¹⁵ so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them.

"What was in the shadow of Peter that healed people (Acts 5:15-16)?"

The shadow here is not our shadow from the sun.  Peter’s shadow is the glory of God.  Only trusting shadows is not wise. What if it had been a cloudy day? Would those in need have been out of luck? What happened at high noon, when Peter had no shadow to speak of? We are glad that God’s power to heal is not dependent on anyone’s ability to be in the right place, at the right time, under the right conditions. Shadows come and go, but God’s power is constant. The GLORY AND POWER THAT JESUS RECEIVED WHEN HE WAS SLAIN ARE FOR TODAY'S BELIEVERS.

GOD’S BREAKTHROUGH ANOINTING

Text: 1 JOHN 2:20, 27

20 But ye have an unction (Anointing) from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

A) The Anointing Abides in You

The Anointing depends upon the words you speak.  Use the weapons of your anointing to:

Ø  Cast out demons

Ø  Rebuke the sickness publicly

Ø  Say to spirit of blindness come out

Ø  Tell someone about Jesus

There are Three Breakthrough Anointing

1) The Double Portion Anointing – 1 Kings 19:16

Elisha, was not satisfied with his condition and followed Elijah for his anointing.  Elisha left his former life and forgot it. Then, Elisha make a journey and walked with Elijah into 4 places:

a. Gilgal – represents a place of religious activity with no supernatural power. Gilgal means “reproach” –  forgetting the old life. 

We need to forget religion with no power. Gilgal never grows into double portion anointing. This where the Manna ceased and the children of Israel had to learn to live by faith not by sight. Without faith the anointing will not come.

b) Then Elisha Followed Elijah to Bethel

·         where you make great decisions in life.

·         where you surrender and yield your life to God.

·         it is a place of dying to our own desire an self.

·         a place of trials and tests.

·         a place Abram pitched his tent and decided to serve God

·         a place Jacob told God he would follow and serve Him.

·         a place Samuel heard the voice of God  but no double portion anointing is here.

c)  Jericho

v  A place of action and warfare, where Joshua fought the battle. Walls came tumbling down (walls of fear and security)    You decide to sacrifice self and follow God.

v  A place of boredom, complacency, ease.

v  A place of distraction by the enemy.

d) ) Jordan

Ø  A place where God opens your eyes and received your spiritual sight.  Jordan was where John the Baptist saw the Holy Spirit descending like a dove. 

               Jordan was where Jesus was baptized and began His ministry. A voice from Heaven was

               heard.

Ø  A place you see the supernatural and double anointing, where signs and wonders are.

 The Chariots of Fire of God came down.  Then Elijah said to Elisha: “Ask what I may do for you”  And Elisha said, “Please give me a double portion anointing  upon me”  And Elijah threw his mantle down. Then Elisha pick up the mantle of Elijah and separated the water of Jordan. The church today needs this Double portion Breakthrough Anointing.

Don’t settle for the second best. Press on. The Lord is ready to pour out His Anointing and blessings upon us with an abundance overflow that you have never seen or known.  The same anointing that rested on Elijah and Elisha is available to meet every need in our lives – whether it be physical, spiritual, emotional or financial.  Or for the Rapture – Jesus Coming back.

2)  The Resurrection Anointing

Phil. 3:10, 11

The anoint of the Resurrection is one the greatest anointing available to the Body of Christ.

. John 11:23,24 – What did Martha said? “I know that he will rise again at the last day” Martha was looking toward the future and not expecting a miracle then.

b. Resurrecting anointing is not for the future but today.  Jesus said “I am the Resurrection and the Life” though he is dead (physical) yet he shall live.”

c.  Hosea 6:2 said – On the 3rd day we may live in His sight. He is talking about dead churches and believers – that need to live or manifest His Anointing Life. God will raise up the 3rd day believers to live for Him. In Him we live and move to manifest His glory and power.

A Reputation only but Spiritual Dead

Rev. 3:1-3 – Jesus said to the Sardis Church, “I know your deeds: you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. (spiritual)  Wake up, strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete inthe sight of my God.”

God is saying to dead churches today – (prophetic) you need the Resurrection Anointing I am giving you today.

Repent and awake and walk with me in the Day of my resurrection power that My Church (body) will be alive not dead. (every deadness will go)

3) The Transforming Anointing – Hosea 6:1-3

Hosea 6:1 -  Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

The Latter Rain Will Change Us 

If we follow and know the Lord, then rain will come. Rain will change our atmosphere, dryness, our character and there is a Transformation.  Rain is life will change everything that is dead. It brought life and abundance. It brings fruitfulness. No Barrenness.

When we are dry we cannot change.  Only those land when rain falls upon will see beautiful flowers and plants.

Speak Spiritual Breakthrough:

Let every bondages be destroy by the anointing of God.

Let the Spirit of God liberate us into the Daily Breakthrough:

      Your Double Portion Anointing – power, strength, wisdom

      Your Resurrecting Anointing – new life, revelation, vision, 

      Your Transforming Anointing – change lifestyle, new things happenings, new harvest

          and blessings flowing out of your belly and ministry.

Prayer with an Anointing Oil
