SEVEN ELEMENTS OF JOSEPH ANOINTING

Joseph Anointing and Favor
Genesis 41:39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.” 41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”
1. The Favor of God was on him – Gen. 39:4
4 So Joseph found favour in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.
The Joseph anointing was an anointing which God places on his life, empowering him to thrive and prosper in difficult times. God bless Pharaoh’s house because of Joseph.
When Joseph anointing comes upon us we will become a blessing to our employer.
In these end times of globalization and internet, the economic playing fields have drastically shifted for our favor. There is a new  paradigm for the economic players on this borderless field. It requires certain amount of wisdom and knowledge to understand and break through these uncertainties clouding outlook of the current economic crisis.
2. Joseph Had a Good Administrative Ability – Gen. 39:4
Joseph forseen the 7 years in advance famine and prepare for the future. Joseph was also a good businessman who became the greatest landlord in Egypt.
When we are able to harvest wealth, the money will then be channeled into the end time harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God.
3. Joseph Dreamed Big Dreams
God will always impart to us dreams which we cannot fulfill in our own strength because when these dreams are eventually brought to past by God, it is God alone who will receive all the glory.
God delights to do the impossible. We should delight in dreaming big dreams!
4. Joseph Possessed The Ability To Persevere
Joseph was able to persevere despite his suffering. Joseph dreamed when he was 17 years old. He was sold as a slave but later into the prison cell for falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife. And met his father at 32 years after.  For 15 years that represented rest and grace.
According to the Bible, number 15 is considered to be not only a symbol of rest, but also a symbol of restoration, healing and deliverance. Also, this number could be a symbol of redemption and sacrifice that Jesus made for the humanity.
Joseph said to his brothers, “Don’t be angry with yourselves that you did this to me, for God did it. He sent me here to preserve lives.”  - Gen. 45:5
5. Joseph Had  Humility
Joseph said, “I cannot interpret the dream myself but God will give you the interpretation.”
Gen. 41:16
16 So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”
6. Joseph Had a Burning Desire to Provide for Humanity
God used Joseph to provide for the whole world – Gen. 50:19-20
19 Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
7. Joseph Had a Great Ability to Forgive
Why Joseph was able to forgive his brothers?

The answer lies in the names he gave his two sons.

‘Manasseh’ means ‘the Lord caused me to forget’ and ‘Ephraim’ means ‘the Lord repays me’.
Every time he called his son, Manasseh, the Lord would caused him to forget the past. This brought healing into his life.
When he called Ephraim, he was reminded that God was his Provider. God provides as we minister to one another.  Grudges harbor against others the flow of blessings is hindered and we are unable to help others.
We learned to walk in forgiveness as the anointing  will flow in ministry.

HUNGERING FOR THE GLORY

“And Moses said, “Please show me Your glory” – Exodus 33:18

Every spiritual passion begin with a hunger, longing for more of God. Moses longed for the glory.  King David longs for the glory. (Ps. 26:8). Jesus desired and longed for the glory (John 17:1,5,22,24)

The glory will bring His presence closer to us and bless us greatly. When God’s Glory descended upon the Tabernacle, the children of Israel enjoyed many blessings. I would like to share some of the benefits and blessings of the glory in the Word of God.

A) The Benefits and Blessings of the Glory

1. The Glory Prospers You

1 Chronicle 13:14 - “The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had”

Likewise, when the glory of God is upon you, it will prosper your spirit, soul, and body. God’s glory will bless you in such a way that it brings health and wholeness to your entire being and family. Everything about you will function better. If you are a businessman his glory will bless your business.

2. The Glory Draws People

Isa. 60:2-6, 9 – “and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentile shall come to your light. And kings to the brightness of your rising … they all gather together, they come to you … Your sons shall come from afar.

Here in Isaiah you discover the glory of God has the spiritual ‘magnetic’ ability to attract – it has supernatural drawing power.

3. The Glory Transforms Lives

2 Cor. 3:18 – “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

As you behold His glory, your spirit is infused with a sense of greatness, power, majesty and destiny. It will transform your attitude, thinking, spirit and vision. Jesus has the power to transform people and change character and circumstances.

4. The Glory Empowers Ministry

Ephesians 3:16 – “that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man”

It takes spiritual power to produce spiritual results, and much power produces greater results. Without the power of God the fivefold gifts and ministries would not be able to operate effectively. God’s glory energizes, rejuvenates and empowers the spirit. God’s glory strengthen your inner man with might and power.

5. The Glory Convicts Sinners & Wrong Doers.

2 Chron. 7:3 – When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement and worship …”

The glory produces reverential fear and strong conviction. When God’s glory is manifest, His presence becomes much more tangible, real and close. Like Peter, he became aware of his sins before Jesus.

For sinners it grip them and convict them of sin and will bring them to repentance and confession of their sins.

Acts 5:11 says “so great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things”.  The people feared the presence of the Lord.

Conclusion: The end time move of the Spirit will restore the glory to the Bride of Christ. With the Restoration of glory there will be a restoration of spiritual authority and power.

Prophetic Chapter Isaiah 60 - Arise and shine, For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. … but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. – Isaiah 60:1-3

“… And I will glorify the house of My glory” – Isaiah 60:7

Prayer: As I draw nearer to You Father, I pray that You will reveal Your Glory in my life that I may know the true and living God that I serve. I also pray that You will manifest Your glory to those who do not know You that they may be saved, Amen.

DISCERNING OF SPIRITS

Introduction: Today the gift of discerning of spirits is greatly needed for the times in which we live. Since not all supernatural activity comes from the Holy Spirit, sometimes it can be hard to tell where it originates. But someone who can penetrate deeply with the gift of discerning of spirits can tell the difference between supernatural activity from the Holy Spirit and that from another source. As evil continues to escalate on the earth, so does the need for a higher level of discernment.

Text: 1 Cor. 12:7-11

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good… to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits…All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. (1 Cor. 12:7-11)

A. What is Discernment of spirits?

Discernment of spirits is a gift of the Holy Spirit given to some Christian believers. It is a Spirit-given ability to distinguish whether Divine, human or demonic origins are the source of what is presented—whether it be in an atmosphere, encounter, event, or prophetic message.

B. What is the Purpose?

Its purpose is to protect, guard, guide and properly feed the flock of God.

1 John 4:1 – “Beloved believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

Spirits Must Express Itself

1 John 4:2,3 – “By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.

C. Christ Ministry Discerned Spirits

Matthew 9:4 “And Jesus knowing their thoughts said Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?”

Matthew 16:23 – Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

a) In the Old Testament

1 Kings 22:23 –”Now therefore, behold the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee.”

The prophet Micaiah saw the whole picture, from the heavenlies down to the spirit, which motivated the false prophets

b) In the New Testament - Acts 13:9,10

Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, 10 “You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord? 11 Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.”

D. What are Some Signs You May Have the Gift of Discernment?

Following are some signs that you may have the spiritual gift of discernment, from my personal study, observation and experience. You may not identify with all of them, but if you do have the gift, you will recognise some of these in your life:

1. Desire for the Gift

As with other spiritual gifts, desire is often the first sign of a gift of discernment of spirits (1 Cor. 14:1).

·         You may have a longing to see people set free from demonic bondage.

·         You may want to be more effective in prayer and spiritual warfare.

·         You may have a desire for holiness and live right with God.

·         You may simply be curious about the spiritual realm.

2. Sensitivity to the Spiritual Atmosphere

You may be more sensitive to spiritual atmospheres than most other people. In the early stages of developing the gift, you may be affected adversely by the presence of any demonic activity in the environment around you.

3. Love for God’s Presence

One of the benefits of having a gift of discernment of spirits is a heightened awareness of God’s Presence and anointing. A true discerner will have a passion for the un-grieved Presence of the Holy Spirit.

The highest use of the gift of discernment is not to see what the enemy is doing, but to discern what the Spirit of God is doing.

4. Ability to Know What Lies Behind a Person’s Words or Actions

Someone with a gift of discernment has the ability to see behind what a person is saying and presenting. You may know whether they are telling the truth or not. You may also recognise if someone is manifesting a demonic spirit and be able to identify what that spirit is.

E. Seducing Spirits

If a prophetic or revelatory message is brought, a discerner can often tell whether it is anointed of the Spirit or from the speaker’s own heart.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; – 1 Timothy 4:1

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. – 1 Timothy 4:16

Somebody’s got to keep saying the truth or preaching the Word. Notice he said they would depart from the faith. (Today Covid 19 cases many believer faith have been shaken. Psalms 91 has been forgotten then.)  You can’t depart from the church fellowship until you first go to church. The purpose of seducing spirits today is to get us to depart from the faith that was once delivered to us.

There are seducing spirits and doctrines of devils working together that have been released in the earth today to get people to calm down the power Holy Spirit - its gifts, put Him in the back room, and eventually push Him out the back door and say He’s not even welcome here anymore. Then Religious Spirit takes over without power just a form or ritual.

THE REVELATION OF SONSHIP

THE REVELATION OF SONSHIP

JOHN 1:12

“As many as received Him He gave them power to become the son of God.”

The Father is restoring the revelation of son-ship. The revelation of son-ship is what will take the Church to a greater level of doing the same miracles that Jesus did.

1. Father Loves the Son, Jesus

John 3:34-35 – “…God gave the Spirit without limit. The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands.

John 5:20 -21 - "For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does!  He will show Him greater things than these.”

2. What is the difference between Christians and sons?

Romans 8:14, 15 -  "Those who are led by the Spirit are sons of God”

1.      Christians are primarily led by circumstances - they have a survival mentality.

2.      A son doesn't live in fear. - Romans 8:15

3. Fear is a Liar

The law of God and the judgments

     of the law of God.

The fear of divine rejection, we felt the fear that the Father would reject us because we had broken His law.

We felt fear of wrath, we felt fear of being abandoned, we felt fear of God's disapproval.

4. No Condemnation

Roman 8:1

“Therefore, now there is no condemnation..."

Why condemnation?   All condemnation  produces guilt, stress, anxiety, worry and anger even death.

5.  Discover Your Sonship

Sons are led by a spirit that will never put them in fear again!  Son does not live in guilt and  condemnation.

If you walk by the Spirit you will never walk in fear and failure again.

Roman 8:15-17 … “A SLAVE to fear again but you have received the Spirit of sonship.”

6. The Gift of Acceptance

God give us a gift of Acceptance. - Luke 15:19

The Holy Spirit is telling you that you are a son of the Father and is in you and through you are crying; "Abba! Daddy! Father!".

7. Memory Verse  -  2 Timothy 1:7

God has not given us a spirit of fear but a spirit of power (miracles, signs and wonders)  and of love (Father’s love) and of a sound mind. (not a condemned mind or guilty mind)

Rom 8:17 -  "If we are children then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs". Co-heir is an equal heir. "with Christ".  Rom 8:19 - "For the sons of God to be revealed“  Creation awaits…

8.  Prayer of Sonship

Father in heaven, I ask You to lead me by Your grace and Your Holy Spirit to understand and to enter into sonship.

I acknowledge that it is time for me to grow up, to receive my inheritance and serve you only.

I know it is time for me to become a son. I ask for your grace, revelation and anointing to be transformed into sonship.

Lord, reveal my identity to me as I walk into sonship receiving my inheritance and fulfilling your call that is on my life.  Amen!
