I GOT MEAT TO EAT

Jesus is the Word of God that
became flesh. When He became flesh, He offered Himself as the Lamb of God to be our meat and drink.  Jesus is indeed our Spiritual Food and Drink.  Jesus said at one time in the Bible “I have MEAT to eat which you do not know; MY MEAT is to do the WILL OF HIM who sent me and to finish HIS WORK!”  I suppose Jesus has his spiritual food and drink from the Father. This is the Spiritual Meat that Christ now offers us.  He is for our Strength, our Nourishment and our Enjoyment.  That is why Jesus wanted us to come to His Banqueting table that has fresh bread from heaven.  This is our Table of Grace which we feed daily.

As we feed upon Jesus we grow and transformed into His image and likeness.  John the Baptist declared concerning the Lord, “I MUST DECREASE BUT HE MUST INCREASE!”
When I read this verse I usually thought I must humble myself.  But there is more than humility.  Jesus is saying He is the Life of all Life.  The more I decrease (in my own flesh, thoughts or will) Jesus must increase in His Divine Nature of God and His Wisdom in me.  The Divine Nature of God is in His Precious Word and His Blood through the power and ministry of the Holy Spirit.  The Kingdom of God must be increase in us and seeking His Righteousness must be increase in us daily.

Men do not live by BREAD alone but by EVERY WORD (LIVING) that proceeds from the MOUTH OF GOD. By now you have come to know that mere listening to a spiritual message preached Sunday after Sunday in the church today is not the same as the partaking or feasting upon the life giving word of God.  The bible says, the LETTER kills but the SPIRIT that gives us life.  The Words that He speaks are spirit and life.  Jesus says my words are spirit and life.  Jesus is not interested in passing some information or bible knowledge to us, but He is seeking to impart His very Spirit and Life to us.

The Words that God speaks are Active, Powerful and Living.  It is LIVING AND BREATHING with the very nature of God Himself.  It is called the Quickening Word of God.  It is the Living Fresh Fiery Word that minister Life and increase to us.  That Word will heal us, deliver us, restores, blesses and changes us.   That is what we need to eat.  We can say then my meat is the Lamb of God that grows and multiplies in us.  It will cause us to increase in the Knowledge and Wisdom of God. The Word is the Word of Grace and Transformation.

I heard someone says to me the other day, there are so many things happening around the world, in our business world and jobs that we need to be strong in our spirit in order to receive the blessings through the word that God could give to us.  I ponder a bit on what he said.  I believe in order to receive the Spiritual Meat to do His will effectively we must first learn how to open up our spirit man.  The flesh profits nothing.  It is the spirit to spirit ministry that gives us life. Many have used their carnal minds instead of their recreated spirits to receive the spirit words of Jesus.  We need to activate our spirit senses.

“But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.”  (NIV)

“But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”  (AKJV)  Hebrews 5:14

Psalms 107:20 – He sent His Word (Meat) and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. (KJV)

Don’t neglect to eat daily the MEAT of His LIVING Word!

JOHN 6:53-57 – “THEN JESUS SAID TO THEM, “MOST ASSUREDLY, I SAY TO YOU, UNLESS YOU EAT THE FLESH OF THE SON OF MAN AND DRINK HIS BLOOD. YOU WILL HAVE NO LIFE IN YOU.”
“FOR MY FLESH IS FOOD (MEAT) INDEED, AND MY BLOOD IS DRINK INDEED.  HE WHO EATS MY FLESH AND DRINKS MY BLOOD ABIDES IN ME AND I IN HIM.”

There is Divine Life that flows from Gods Living Word and you will live a life of utter dependent on Him totally.  That is our Source, our Strength, our Sustenance, our Satisfaction, our Blessings and our Everything we can all partake from God.  “DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME”   Take this and divide it among yourselves.
