THE
SPIRITUAL MILK AND MEAT
In
Hebrews 5:13, 14 it says, “For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled
in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But sold food belongs to those
who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses
exercised to discern both good and evil”
Milk
may be suitable for new-born food but however when you grow up you get to taste
other kinds of food and your appetite begins to change. Then milk will no
longer be your diet because you find it boring having to eat the same old thing
again and again. Like Malaysians we desire for a variety of food and are only
natural.
This
is the same with spiritual appetites, as we grow spiritually there come a time
in our lives when we will not longer be satisfied with receiving repetitive elementary
teachings and sometimes some rigid rituals of the Outer Court. But when you
hunger and thirst for fresh revelations and the deep things of God then the
Holy Spirit will lead you into another area. The fresh “manna of God” found in
the Holy Place. Our diet has changed. Now is the time to grow up and enter into
the third dimension the place of maturity and glory.
The
bible says, “As the deer pants for the water books, so pants my soul for You, O
God. My soul thirsts for God, for the Living God. When shall I come and appear
before God?” (Most Holy Place) – Psalms 42:1, 2 As your desire for more solid
food in the Holy Place and after a while it will no long satisfy you. You will
long for something more that really satisfies you. And that place is in the
realm of the Holy of Holies – that’s where God’s Presence is.
A
different kind of spiritual food is found in the Most Holy Place. It is
refreshing and consists of God’s quickened word, the Word is “rhema” to you and
more fresh revelation and prophetic insights will come. That is where the bible
says, “meat belong to those who are of age”.
Jesus
says in the gospel, “I have food to eat of which you do not know”. We wonder
what kind of food? It must be spiritual. Then Jesus said “My food is to do the
will of Him who sent Me and to finished His work.”
In
the Outer Court you have the Believer’s Anointing, in the Holy Place you have
the Priestly Anointing but in the Most Holy Place you have the Kingly
Anointing. You come from His Presence to Stronger Presence and in the Most Holy
Place you will be clothed with His Glory. This is the kingly garment of glory.
It also symbolizes the unique glorious garments of the high priest. The church
will be arrayed with the Bridal gown of Glory. She is being clothed with an increasing
measure of His divine glory as the Marriage of the Bride and the Lamb draws
near.
Church,
you are clothed with the glory of His Righteousness when the power of Most High
overshadows you. The glory of God puts a fire and a holy passion in you. It
inspires your spirit and causes you to burn with a holy zeal. When you are
clothed with robe of glory and righteousness you faith increases and you become
bolder having an unusual authority in your spirit.
The
bible tells us to wear a spiritual garment when we meet the Lord Jesus. Blessed
are those who have the garments for righteousness and glory. The Holy Spirit is
busily preparing the Church the Bride of Christ adorning her with gifts and
revelations, gracious grace and glorious glory for the soon coming Bridegroom.
Day by day there will be that increasing measure of God’s glory and grace upon
the Church. This is a very powerful revelation to us.
As
Colossians 1:27 says, “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of
the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope
of GLORY.” Vs 28 “Him we preach, teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may
present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.”
I
Peter 4:14 says, “…. Blessed are you, for the Spirit of Glory and of God rest
upon you …”
2
Chronicles 7:1-3 says, "Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came
down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory
of the Lord filled the temple. vs 2 And the priests could not enter the house
of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house. vs. 3
When they saw how the fire came down and the glory of the Lord on the temple,
they bowed down their faces to the ground and worshiped and praised the
Lord..."
2
Chronicles 5:13,14 "... the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud, so
that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the
glory of the Lord filled the house of God."
May
the Glory of God shines through you this Christmas season and others would come
to know Jesus!
