HEARING AND SPEAKING IN THE SPIRIT

Can we really hear God's voice? Does God really speak to us? To many of us often doubt if we are hearing from God until we learn to recognize the ways God speaks to us.
The hearing of faith is our hearing with the spiritual ear is a process of faith. Hearing in the spirit is therefore the hearing of  faith.  We hear from our spirit man.
Therefore, hearing of faith is necessary in all the operations with the Holy  Spirit. We must hear by faith the specific revelation and direction from the Holy Spirit before preaching, teaching, healing and prophesying under the anointing of the Spirit.

Galatians 3:2 says, “Did you receive the Spirit by works of law, or by the hearing of faith?”

A.   Firstly, it requires faith to hear in the spirit. Our spirit hears from God Spirit living inside us.
a.   Hearing with your natural ear is the hearing of facts.

b.   Hearing of  faith is opposite to natural hearing  ( 2 Cor. 5: 7)

c.    Two keys to hear and understand by faith.

  1. Yielding – (of a person)  Complying with the requests or desires of others: "a gentle, yielding person".  Listen to what God says – Go, Stay, Pray just like the prophets of old.
  1. Believing – accept (something) as true; feel sure of the truth of God speaking.
Ephesians 1:18 says, “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his
power to us-ward who believe according to the
         working of his power..."

B.   The  Spiritual  law of  “ Hearing  of  faith”
a.   We experience the baptism in the Holy  Spirit  by  hearing  of  faith – Galatians 3:2 - New International Version (NIV)

“ I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard?”

b.   We experience miracles by hearing of faith.

Galatians 3:5 - New International Version (NIV)
"So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard?"

c.    We experience salvation by hearing of  faith  -
    Romans 10 :8 – 10;

Galatians 3:7-8  -  English Standard Version (ESV)
Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.”

d.   On God’s side he performs mighty deeds through speaking to his prophets.

Amos 3: 7  -  English Standard Version (ESV)
“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.
“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his   servants the prophets.” KJV.

e.   Paul  operated with this principle.
  1. In his evangelistic ministry  - Galatians  1: 12
  2. In his preaching ministry – I  Corinthians 2 :10, v 13
  3. In  his traveling ministry – Gal 2: 1,2  cf  Ac 15: 1 –4
  4. In his calling from God – Ephesians  3:3,  I  Tim 4 : 14, 15
f.     Our Lord Jesus operated with this principle also.
  1. Whatever he saw the father do, he also did  ( John  5: 19)
  2. As he hears from the father, he  judges -  ( John 5: 30)
  3. As the father taught him, he spoke – John 8: 28
  4. He received command  of  what he should say and  speak, and he spoke likewise – John 12 : 49
C.   Speaking forth his “Rhema word” as you hear by faith.
a.   Anointed preaching releases penetrative spiritual power.

I  Cor. 2 : 4 “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.”
John 6 : 63-
New International Version (NIV)
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.”

b.   Effective gifts are spoken and released after revelation gifts are received.

1 Corinthians 12:7-11 - New International Version (NIV)
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

c.    Vocal spiritual release of corporate authority from the manifested presence of  God.

Acts 13:1-3 - King James Version (KJV)

They were in the Antioch church and…
2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work where unto I have called them.”

3 And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.  Paul and Barnabas were vocally released by the Apostles mouth in the presence of God during prayer and fasting.

Acts 4:24 & 31 says, “After they raise their voice with one accords in prayer and with one voice to God they shook the place. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.”

D.   Increase your effectiveness in the hearing of  faith.
a.   Hearing of faith is spontaneous. Faith cometh by hearing the Word of God also.

b.   Hearing of faith is a love relationship. You stay close to God's presence each time, even you are eating.
John 10:27 – The Good sheep hear and follow God’s voice.
John 15:10, 11 – Peace and Joy are an indicator of  a  strong relationship with God.
c.    You can impart only what you have received into your spirit.  Prov. 4:23.  Luke 6:45.  It’s the Spirit of God in you that gives life to hearers.
d.   Speak from your spirit. Not from your head. It’s a Spirit to spirit ministry. 1. They  will be washed and cleansed each time rhema word comes forth and touches their spirits – Ephesians 5 :26

2. Their spirits will be receiving life from God as his words is life and spirit.

BUILDING IN THE SPIRIT

Scriptures given:
Jude 1:20
New International Version (NIV)
20 But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit.
 John 4:24
  New International Version (NIV)
24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Jude 1:20
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the
Holy Spirit When you pray in the Holy Spirit, WITH the Holy Spirit, it builds your faith because what you are doing is you are praying WITH God. Some things to remember: when you are praying or just sitting in God’s presence, don’t feel bad if you don’t always see. Some people see, hear or have impressions.

A)   THE  CONCEPT.
1.Building in the spirit is the spirit ability released upon a man to penetrate into
the supernatural realm, to dislodge the powers of hell and establish an open
heaven above him for ministry function.

2.  This  supernatural grace allows that ministry to bring the tangible presence of
God in the midst of  the congregation. This brings a  spiritual grace to him.

3.  The manifested form of  Jesus presence becomes known by the way the
minister  ministers. The way by  the  Holy  Spirit is made known  by  the way
     he employs his  ministry.

4.  The longer the people stay under that saturated spiritual atmosphere the more
drastic changes will take place in their  lives. Results produces when people
stay  longer in his presence. ( Not  long  service – but  stay longer in his
presence - in revival  people stay for  days.)  Learn to charge up the
atmosphere with worship in the spirit.

 5. Those who know how to work with the spiritual environment and atmosphere
will  have a cutting edge to minister in the hearts of  man.

6.  Those who know to do things like this will cause revival. We make revival to
happen not  pray only. A revivalist  creates waves not  carried by  waves.

B)   HOW  TO BUILD IN THE  SPIRIT?

1.   Build the word of God into your spirit. – Matt. 4:4

Your spirit man is the man on the inside it's the real man, the real you. So when people look at you, they don't see the real you. They see the house you live in. It's important that you build up your physical body and develop your mind, but it's also important to build up your spirit man. You build up your spirit man the same way you build up your physical man through discipline.

Hebrews  4:12-13
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

OUR SPIRIT BYPASSES OUR BRAINS
The spirit part of us - we do not remember, recall or understand with our intellect.  We have been told to build and grow up our spirit man, yet because our spirit man bypasses our minds or realization of what is going on, we need to know how to built this part of our being.

1 Cor. 14:2-3
For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.

1 Cor. 14:14-15
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.

1 Cor. 14:4  -  He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself.  I am building up my spirit.

2.   Build  personal revelation into your  spirit.

Philemon 25 - The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.  The grace of the Lord is my personal revelation. Paul also have many personal revelations but one most
Revelation is the Revelation of Grace. A personal revelation of the gift of righteousness and grace through Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 3:1-5  - …”the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation,” …

Acts 20:24 - But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
The "gospel of the grace of God" Paul preached was not Judaism. Had Paul taught no other belief than Judaism, there was no reason or need for him to receive a ministry from the Lord Jesus.  (More and more revelations of Grace and Righteousness)

3.   Build to hear God’s voice in your  spirit  daily.

Success comes not  from following  what  other people are doing  but what
God  wants  you to do. It  is  not  what  you do that  carries the  anointing but who you  obey.

Three Ways  How  Holy  Spirit  Speaks  To  Us.

1). Inner Voice of  the  Holy  Spirit
Small Still voice – Audible voice louder than your thoughts.

2). Inner Witness  of   the  Holy  Spirit
Strong impression of your heart not the voice of the Spirit but teaches our spirit to discern good or evil.  (Example: A witchcraft shop or place - you spirit will discern that place or person.)

3). The  Voice of  the  Recreated  Spirit.

It’s the inner voice of our own spirit. Our own hearts speak to us.
               (1 John 3:19 – 22)

New International Version (NIV)
19 This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence: 20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God.

4.   Build God’s anointing in your spirit.
The anointing of God is the IMPARTATION of the GRACE, ABILITY and POWER of God upon our lives to do what God has called us to do.
The anointing is unction from the Holy Spirit, to EQUIP and EMPOWER every saint for the ministry which He has ordained for us.
The anointing of God cannot be hidden but must PERMEATE and FLOW OUT of our lives and ministries.

The anointing of Prophet Elijah was transferred to Elisha.

2 Kings 2:9

When they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha, "Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you." And Elisha said, "Please, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me."

The anointing is Spirit-life and the power of God. You cannot understand the anointing with your head. You cannot receive the anointing with your brain. You have got to receive the anointing with your heart.

Hunger for the Anointing of God to manifest in our lives.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard, Coming down the edge of His robes (Psalm 133:1-2).

God’s grace within you is the anointing you need to accomplish everything He has planned for you. Grace equals enablement – miraculous, supernatural, God-given, enablement. That sets you apart from others whose dreams depend on their own ability. The early church grasped this fact and accomplished miraculous results. The same is possible for you.
If you have Grace you have Jesus, if you have Jesus you have the anointing.

Acts 10:38 ...how GOD ANOINTED JESUS of Nazareth with the HOLY SPIRIT and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil...

Isaiah 10:27, KJV “...the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”
By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, Jesus healed the sick.
By the anointing of the Holy Spirit, Jesus overcame the power of the devil.
Jesus did His first-ever miracle (John 2:11) only after His anointing by the Spirit. (John 1:32f).

2 Corinthians 1:21 Now it is God who ... anointed us.
1 John 2:20 ...YOU have an anointing from the Holy One...
If Jesus needed the anointing of the Holy Spirit, how much more do we mere mortals need it?

Paul wrote that God anoints US.
John declared: “YOU have an anointing...”
