ALL ABOUT GRACE

As I opened up Alan Hiu blog, I managed to read the articles of Pastor Joseph Prince entitled “All About Grace” and an extract from his words saying,
“Grace is possibly one of the most misunderstood concepts by Christians today. And yet Grace is integral to our walk with God – for Grace is actually Jesus Christ. He is Grace personified. His Grace is evident through the work of the Gospel – for the Gospel itself is Grace.”

As I study the word grace it began to open up more gems to me. Below are some things I learned from the word grace itself.
GRACE is mentioned in the Bible many times.
The word "GRACE" appears in the Old Testament approximately 38 times.
The word "GRACE" appears in the New Testament approximately 128 times.

The word "GRACE" as it is used in the Old Testament can mean the following:
GRACE can mean: graciousness, kindness, favor, well-favored, highly favored.
GRACE can also mean: to beseech, to give, grant, to entreat, merciful, to have pity upon, and make supplication.

The word "GRACE" in the New Testament can mean the following:
GRACE can mean: divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in life; benefit, favor, gift, and divine favor.
GRACE can mean: God’s goodness, love, mercy, and kindness toward people without regard to their work, deeds, and in spite of what they deserve.

As 2 Timothy 2:15 says to “Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.” Jesus says also “Take my yoke upon you, and LEARN OF ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and you shall find rest to your souls.”

GRACE came by, is by, and is of who?
Romans 5:17-GRACE…BY…JESUS CHRIST.
John 1:17-GRACE AND TRUTH CAME BY JESUS CHRIST.
Acts 15:11-GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS.
Ephesians 2:7-GRACE…THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.
1 Timothy 1:14-GRACE OF OUR LORD.
Galatians 1:6-GRACE OF CHRIST.

Jude 4-GRACE OF OUR GOD.
1 Corinthians 1:3-GRACE…FROM GOD…AND…JESUS CHRIST.
2 Thessalonian 1:12-GRACE OF OUR GOD AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Ephesians 1:6-HIS GRACE…HATH MADE US ACCEPTED.
Galatians 1:15-GOD…BY HIS GRACE.
1 Peter 5:10-THE GOD OF ALL GRACE.

We can only come to God by Jesus Christ; by the GRACE He extends to us; by the GRACE which is in Him, by Him, through Him, of Him, and from Him.

The Bible tells us that:
Hebrews 13:9-IT IS A GOOD THING THAT THE HEART BE ESTABLISHED WITH GRACE.
Our hearts be established with what?
Colossians 3:16-GRACE IN YOUR HEARTS.
1 Peter 3:7-THE GRACE OF LIFE.
Romans 11:5-THE ELECTION OF GRACE.
Romans 5:2-FAITH INTO THIS GRACE.

About Obedience:
Romans 1:5- RECEIVED GRACE…FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH.
A person receives GRACE for obedience to the faith; for obedience to Jesus Christ (the Word).
Then obedience is unto righteousness, as it is written:
Roman 6:16 - OBEDIENCE UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS.

About Righteousness:
Romans 5:21- GRACE REIGN(s) THROUGH RIGHTEOUSNESS.
As already stated, we received GRACE for "obedience" to the faith, to Jesus, to the Word; for obedience unto righteousness, and GRACE reigns through righteousness.
The Scriptures tell us that GRACE reigns through righteousness.

We are to minister?
Ephesians 3:2-DISPENSATION OF THE GRACE.
Acts 20:24-THE GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF GOD.
Acts 20:32-THE WORD OF HIS GRACE.

You are called:
Galatians 1:15- BY HIS GRACE.

We are warned of "another gospel" regarding God’s precious GRACE:
Galatians 1:6-I MARVEL THAT YE ARE SO SOON REMOVED FROM HIM THAT CALLED YOU INTO THE GRACE OF CHRIST UNTO ANOTHER GOSPEL.
Galatians 5:4-WHOSOEVER OF YOU ARE JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW; YE ARE FALLEN FROM GRACE.
Have you:
Hebrews 10:29-DONE DESPITE UNTO THE SPIRIT OF GRACE?
Galatians 2:21-DO NOT FRUSTRATE THE GRACE OF GOD: FOR IF RIGHTEOUSNESS COME BY THE LAW, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.
2 Corinthians 6:1-WE…BESEECH YOU ALSO THAT YE RECEIVE NOT THE GRACE OF GOD IN VAIN.
Acts 13:43-They PERSUADED THEM TO CONTINUE IN THE GRACE OF GOD.
2 Corinthians 12:9-MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE.
Romans 1:5-BY WHOM WE HAVE RECEIVED GRACE AND APOSTLESHIP, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH AMONG ALL NATIONS, FOR HIS NAME.
Romans 4:16- THEREFORE IT IS OF FAITH, THAT IT MIGHT BE BY GRACE.
Romans 5:2-BY WHOM ALSO WE HAVE ACCESS BY FAITH INTO THIS GRACE WHEREIN WE STAND, AND REJOICE IN HOPE OF THE GLORY OF GOD.
