SPIRITUAL WARFARE PRAYERS
In Psalms 144:1 - Blessed
be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to
fight. Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who
trains my hands for war, {And} my fingers for battle;..."
In 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 - New King
James Version (NKJV)
4. For the weapons of our warfare are
not carnal but mighty in God for pulling
down strongholds, 5. casting down
arguments and every high thing that
exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into
captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6. and being ready to punish all
disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled."
Jeremiah 51:20-23; 23:29
1. We have the power to
destroy strongholds. The power toward us who believe in the inner man that are
able to hits correctly and accurately the strongholds of the enemy. The
stronghold of principalities & powers in cities; of relationships in
families and churches and in our personal lives.
Jeremiah 51:20-23; 23:29
The text in
Jeremiah quotes: “Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will
I break in pieces the nations and with thee will I destroy kingdoms.” This is a powerful statement for we know that
our prayers cuts and pull down strongholds in every area – spiritually,
socially, economically and governmental sphere.
God is the One who uses us to win battles. Firstly :
A. God
uses us as weapons of war
2. We destroy arguments. Arguments are ‘reasonings’
of the mind. Our doubts and worldly influence that is against the Word of God.
Negative reasonings - (Backsliders say there is no God.)
3. We destroy envy proud obstacles. The proud and
lofty things in life and the world has to offer us. (Fear of loosing out)
4. We take every thought captive to obey Christ.
This speaks of the purposes and motives of men.
All thoughts are command to obey and submit to Christ authority and
Word. Are our motives genuine, honest,
true, just, pure, lovely, anything to praise God – think of these things. (Philippians 4:8)
5. We punish every disobedience by feeding obedience
until it is complete and the reflection of Christ is seen in us. Someone said,
that disobedience is breaking the law. Disobedience
are unbelieving spirit.
B. Secondly, God trains our hand for war – Psa. 18:34,
144:1
We are to war a good spiritual warfare as mentioned
in 1 Timothy 1:18 Moses has only bury one
Egyptian by his own flesh and will but as he submits his hands to God, God uses
him and train him to bury an army of Pharaoh into the Red Sea.
A Psalm of
David. - “Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my
fingers for battle”
Our warfare are not
carnal (like bombs, machine guns) but
spiritual able and mighty to the
pulling down of stronghold – two hands that Moses lifted up during the war
between the Israelites and Amalekites.
Exodus
17:11
As long as
Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered
his hands, the Amalekites were winning.
Dear Heavenly
Father, we pray this prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit
and in the name of Jesus Christ. We bind
and bring to no effect all disunity, discord, division, strife, anger, wrath,
criticism, condemnation, guilt, pride, envy, jealousy, gossip, slander, complaining,
lying, false teaching, poverty, sickness, fear of lack, all fears, murmuring
spirits, deceiving spirits and spirits of Antichrist. These are all bound in us, in our families
and in our church.
We bind all
curses that have been spoken against us.
We bind the power of negative words and render useless all prayers that
are not inspired by the Holy Spirit. We
confess that we are a child of God, that we are the righteousness of God in
Christ Jesus. We are God’s property.
We claim a
fence of protection around ourselves, our families, our
church and schools and we ask You in the Name of Jesus, to dispatch angels to
surround us today. We plead the blood of Jesus around them. We ask angels to protect our homes, families
from any intrusion, harm, physical and mental attack from the enemies.
We confess
the God the Holy Spirit guides and leads us.
We will hear God’s voice as Jesus said in John 10:27 – “my sheep hears My voice”.
We confess we
are healed and whole. We flourish, we
are stable, fruitful, full of peace, joy, patience and love. Whatever we set our hands to shall prosper, for
God supplies all our needs.
God we pray for the ministries here. You have brought us here to bring glory to your Name.
Anoint us for all You have called us to do for You. We call forth divine appointments, open doors
of opportunity, open heavens blessings, God ordained encounters and miracles,
ministry opportunities and ministry positions for the church. We will use our lives and God given abilities
for Your glory and honor, O Lord.
And lastly,
we declare by faith that revival is sweeping
through us and our families, our church families and nation. We will allow it to bring about the necessary
changes in us. We are open to
correction, repentance, obedience and brokenness and a deeper walk with God. We
deeply desire a more powerful prayer life and a greater intimacy with the Lord
and a burden for the lost.
We pray all
this prayers in the precious Name of Jesus.
Amen.
