DEVOTIONAL PSALMS 23

The Lord is My Shepherd
"The Lord is my Shepherd — there is nothing I lack!" Psalm 23:1

God in Christ is our Shepherd. The Lord Jesus is our Shepherd.
The above psalm says, "The Lord is my Shepherd — there is nothing I lack." What a natural, what a comfortable conclusion! With Jesus for our Shepherd — can we ever be left to lack? Especially when it is said, "No good thing will he withhold, from those who walk uprightly." Imagined good, I may lack; real good — I shall never lack. Four

Firstly, I shall not lack protection, for Jesus is an Almighty Shepherd.

Secondly, I shall not lack direction, for Jesus is an all-wise Shepherd. It is the shepherd's job, and a part of the shepherd's business — to lead the sheep.  Wherever he leads I follow and whatever he feeds I swallow.

Thirdly, I shall not lack supplies, for the resources of Jesus are infinite. "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof." God says in His Word, “My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in Christ Jesus."   He will supply according to His riches not according to our riches or bank account riches.  God riches in heaven is more than we can imagine and never runs dry.
He supplies and supplies and over supply to all our needs in this life until our cup overflows. God’s grace for me is unstoppable and unlimited.

Fourthly, I shall not lack healing and power as he anointed my head with oil. God anointed me for ministry and leadership to my family, churches and the world. God’s grace within you is the anointing you need to accomplish everything He has planned for you. Grace equals enablement – miraculous, supernatural, God-given, enablement.

Fifthly, I shall not lack honor, glory and God’s presence as God prepared a table for me to feast with Him. The King welcomes me into His banqueting table where there is plenty of wealth, love and relationship with Him. I am well honored greatly in His sight. Like Mephibosheth in the bible during King David’s time, he was too lame to do his part first. He had to be fetched.
If it had not been for this fetching-grace, we should have all perished, in our strivings to hide away from God.

Finally, I shall not lack anything as my cup overflows every time.  Whatever I want in this divine life God has for me.  I will not lack wisdom, knowledge, peace, joy, love and righteousness and grace and many other things I needed in life.  For God shall supply all my needs according to “His Riches” in Heaven.

"Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life — and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!" Psalm 23:6
