A MERRY HEART

a merry heart is a good medicine

Ecclesiastes 9 :7 -8 Go eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart;

For God has already accepted your works. Let your garments always be white,

and let your head lack no oil.”

Go and enjoy yourself for God has favored your work and He has blessed what you are doing. Do not condemn yourself and feel guilty for God has accepted you and what you have done. I believe this is the work of what Jesus has done on the Cross of Calvary where he died for us. Jesus does not judge us on our performance but His Work at the Cross in us.

With this our garments are washed and white and the blood of Jesus continually cleansed us from all unrighteousness. As God cleanses us he anoints us for His work and service.

Psalmist says, “You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…”

Today we are living in the New Covenant promises and we are better off as Jesus has offered all His blessings upon us. Our garments are continually washed by the blood of Jesus and our anointing which we have received from God abides in us. (1 John 2:27)

This is the joy we have in Christ and our joy should be everlasting and eternal. And we live with no condemnation for God has accepted our lives. Looking forward we have a hope and a future indeed whether times are good or bad.

May the good Lord bless all of you and enjoy life and your work with a merry heart!
