THE EYES OF THE LORD

1. The Lord eyes strongly support us:

2 Chronicles 16:9  - King James Version

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”

Legacy Standard Bible

“For the eyes of Yahweh move to and fro throughout the earth that  He may strongly support those whose heart is wholly devoted to Him.”

And why was that? Precisely because “the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him” (v.9). God in His providence, is constantly on the lookout, as it were, for those who will rely upon Him in their trials and difficulties. And He does this in order that He may show Himself strong on our behalf!

2. The Lord’s Eyes Encourage Us

John 1:47, 48

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!” ⁴⁸ Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”

This is a prophetic picture – prophetic glory of God coming down in the last days church. The church that believes will see greater things coming upon the earth. There will be more supernatural things happening in these last days.  Glory upon glory, grace upon grace, power upon power as Heaven door is opening and angels are appearing to His people.

Here the Lord is encouraging Nathanael (you and me) a church there is no deceit (deception) a pure, blameless Church.

3. The Lord’s Eyes Direct Us

Psalms 32:8 -I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;  I will counsel you with my eye upon you.

4. The Lord’s Eyes Deliver Us

Psalms 33:18,19

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, 19 that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.

5. The Lord’s Eyes Protect Us

Psalms 34:15 - The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.

6. The Lord’s Eyes Preserve Us

Proverbs 22:12 - The eyes of the Lord keep watch over knowledge,
   but he overthrows the words of the traitor.

7. The Lord’s Eyes Provide For Us

Matthew 9:35.36

³⁵ And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. ³⁶ When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

8. The Lord’s Eyes Comfort Us

Luke 7:13

¹¹ Soon afterward he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him. ¹² As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. ¹³ And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” ¹⁴ Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” ¹⁵ And the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.

In Conclusion:

The Eyes of the Lord support us, encourage us, direct us, deliver us, protect us, preserve us, provide for us and comfort us.

PRAYER:

Dear Lord, I come to you today asking for guidance. I feel lost and overwhelmed, and I need your help in finding my way. Please open my eyes and heart to the direction you want me to take. Help me to make wise decisions that will lead me closer to your path for my life. Give me the strength and courage to persevere when times are difficult. Lead me with your truth and love, so that I may live a life that brings glory to your name. Thank you for your guidance and protection. Amen.
