The Promise of the Holy Spirit - John 7:37-39
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Rivers /Wells in our Belly - John 4:13-14
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
John 7:39 - 37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
DRAW IT OUT
Prov. 18:4 – “the wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.” Wisdom is one of the rivers.
Prov. 16:22 – “Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it. Understanding is another river.
Prov. 10:5 – “Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.” Counsel is another river.
Draw From the Rivers
Isaiah 11:2 – There are seven of the rivers or Spirit.
Spirit of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge and the Fear of the Lord.
Jesus said in the last days that the Spirit of the Lord would manifest Himself as Rivers of Living Water.
A river never stops flowing. All these rivers or wells are resident in our hearts as believers because the Spirit of God dwells in us.
STIRRING UP THE GIFT
2 Timothy 1:6
“Stir up the gift of God in you,”
Come forth rivers of Living water, Spring up O well into my soul, Spring up O well and come forth O River of God.
Speak to the wells and rivers of Salvation! Draw out your Healing, Wisdom, Joy, Revelation!
What To Do? (Dryness)
We may give up during these dry times. These are times of Drawing, Breakthrough, Changing and Stirring times and seasons. You are preparing for a change – a new season is coming.
Many believers stop praising or worshiping God when they feel dry, they stop because no water is coming from their wells and it seems too difficult to obtain.
Unstopping the Wells - Genesis 26:1-18
26 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.
2 And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore unto Abraham thy father;
What Did Issac Do?
Genesis 26:12-15, 18
12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year a hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.
13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.
15 For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.
18 And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their names after the names by which his father had called them.
19 And Isaac's servants digged in the valley, and found there a well of springing water.
God Will Restore the Church - Isaiah 58:11-12
11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
May God Bless You and your family
