HUNGERING FOR THE GLORY
“And Moses said, “Please show me Your glory” – Exodus 33:18
Every spiritual passion begins with a hunger, longing for more of God.
Moses longed for the glory. King David longs for the glory. (Psa. 26:8). Jesus desired and longed for the glory (John17:1, 5, 22, 24.)
The
Benefits and Blessings
of the Glory
The glory will bring His presence closer to us and bless us greatly. When God’s Glory descended upon the Tabernacle, the children of Israel enjoyed many blessings.
I would like to share some of the benefits and blessings of the glory in the Word of God.
1. The Glory Prospers You
1 Chronicle 13:14
“The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that he had”
2. The Glory Draws People
God’s glory has the power to draw people. When the glory of God was manifested in a church in a small town, multitudes traveled long distances to visit that place and to attend the services.
3. The Glory Transforms
2 Cor. 3:18 – “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
4. The Glory Empowers Ministry
Ephesians 3:16 – “that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man”
5. The Glory Convicts Sinners & Wrong Doers
2 Chronicle 7:3 – When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement and worship …”
The Glory Brought Fear of the Lord
Acts 5:11 says “so great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things”. The people feared the presence of the Lord.
Conclusion
- The end time move of the Spirit will restore the glory to the Bride of Christ. With the Restoration of glory there will be a restoration of spiritual authority and power.
- Prophetic Chapter Isaiah 60 – “Arise and shine, for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. … but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.” – Isaiah 60:1-3
“… And I will glorify the house of My glory” – Isaiah 60:7
“But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light and your God your glory” – Isaiah 60:19
Prayer
As I draw nearer to You Father, I pray that you will manifest Your love in my life that I may know the true and living God that I serve. I also pray that you will manifest Your glory to those who do not know You that they may be saved, Amen.
God Bless You and Your Family as the Glory of God rest upon all of you.
